Lancaster Arts Partnership

Lancaster is most unusual in the extent and richness of its arts activity, but this asset is rarely promoted or celebrated. In the current financial circumstances, this activity may be under threat.

The arts organisations in the Lancaster district, including Storey Gallery, have formed Lancaster Arts Partnership. This includes: Storey Gallery, The Dukes, folly, Green Close Studios , Live at LICA (at Lancaster University), Ludus Dance, Litfest, and More Music, plus associate companies, Luneside Studios, Lancaster Musicians’ Co-operative, and Whirlwind Theatre. This partnership aims to raise the profile of the arts activity in the district, to demonstrate its value, and to support its continued success.

We obtained funding to engage a pair of research companies to collect information on the contribution which these arts organisations make to the local economy.
