Heritage Auctions, a Dallas, Texas-based auction house that primarily handles auction lots primarily involving comic books, video games, trading cards, and other similar collectibles, has put a rare, graduated and sealed copy of Pokémon Ruby Version for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance handheld device up for auction! Players of the famous hit video game series will remember that this game, alongside Pokemon Sapphire Version, marks the series’ first foray into its third generation of creatures. Potential bidders will only have until Tuesday, July 26 to bid on this iconic and groundbreaking Pokemon video game.
There’s only a handful of veterans Pokemon fans who don’t recognize Groudon, the mascot of the Ruby version. A vicious earth-type with formidable attack stats, Groudon has been given a new “Primal” form in Pokemon Omega Ruby during the sixth generation of the series. He won’t appear in this game, specifically, but this game will show you a glimpse of what changed between his release and the release of Omega Ruby. Additionally, according to the item’s auction listing on the Heritage Auctions website:
The third generation of Pokemon represents a significant development in the Pokemon franchise. Many iconic and fan-favorite Pokémon species have been introduced to Gen 3’s new Hoenn region. Groudon, the Mythical Ground-type Pokémon, is featured on Pokémon Rubythe cover. Due to the popularity of this Pokemon generation, Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire received remakes on 3DS in 2014. Directed by Junichi Masuda and Satoshi Tajiri. Conceived by Shigeki Morimoto. Directed by Junichi Masuda. Coverage by Ken Sugimori.
If you would like to bid on this copy of Pokémon Ruby, please note that you only have until Tuesday, July 26 to do so. You can find the auction listing for this item on the Heritage Auctions website by clicking here. Good luck!
